As Sub consultant, we are a member of the Program Consultants Organization (PCO) for control of CSOs to the Anacostia and Potomac Rivers, and Rock Creek. Our onsite services include geotechnical support and assistance in preparation of design-build (@30%) documents relating to the construction of tunnels, large sewer systems, pump stations and appurtenances.
As Prime Consultant, we provide Project Management support for citywide roadway improvements initiated and funded through the statewide CTF. Our services include design, preparation of PS&E packages, and construction inspection.
Sub consultant team member involved in assisting DC Water in the development and implementation of a comprehensive asset management program. Our role involves support in the areas of Technology and Data, reliability and condition assessment and asset lifecycle management tracks.
As Prime Consultant and later in a sub role, we have assisted in various tasks for the upgrade of this facility. These include plant energy management, vetting new treatment technologies to achieve beneficial integration of new treatment units with existing ones. Units involved includes components such as clarifiers, pumps, pipes, digesters and sludge handling.
As Sub consultant to several area A/E Prime firms, we have assisted in the preparation of construction documents for pipelines rehabilitation (PS&E) and provided construction management and inspection services involving:
• 246,000 L.F. CIP pipe lining
• 1,250 L.F. point repairs/replacements
• 4,100 house connection repairs
• 1,100 manhole repairs/replacements
We implemented a facilities information portal used to support management of City-owned buildings. FMS provides access to facility data including GIS location, square footage, number of floors, year built, etc. Reports based on custom filters can be generated for review by planning personnel. FMS integrates with other City GIS and property data services to provide more comprehensive access to building information.
As sub-consultant, supported WSSC’s “On-Site Take Over” and rehabilitation of the base sewer system. Prepared Environmental Permit Applications for Washington, DC. and construction documents (PS&E) for open cut replacements of selected manholes, mains and laterals throughout the base.
As Sub-consultant we provided resident engineering and construction inspection services including; negotiation of change orders; claim management; and project close-out.
Our WSSC experience include roles as Prime and Sub-Consultant on various projects ranging from Unit staff augmentation services to GIS Re-engineering and Pipelines rehabilitation services.
The Bi-County Water Tunnel is the largest single construction project WSSC has undertaken. We are part of the project team providing on- site Construction Management Administration services for the project.
